Galgotias University approved to compete in NASA Rover Challenge 2016

Galgotias University has been selected to participate in NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge 2016.  It has set the record of being the only educational institution in Delhi & NCR participating in the NASA Rover Challenge for 5 years consecutively.  It is yet another benchmark of success established by the University. The selection process for NASA Rover Challenge is a complex process in which only 4 teams from each country (except the USA) are selected. This is the sixth time the university is participating in the challenge clearing the complex registration process. The event will be held from April 7-9 2016 at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama.  It was previously known as The Great Moobuggy Race.  The team which represented Galgotias University last year ranked 31st/122 and and had the best national time at the NASA Rover Challenge under the leadership of team adviser Ms Vinnie Mathur (Dean Student Affairs) and technical guidance of Dr. B V Babu (Vice Chancellor) and Dr. P. K. S. Nain (Dean School of Chemical and Mechanical Engg.

Prizes won by Galgotians at British High Commission’s ‘Great Debate’

The students of Galgotias University participated in the 'Great Debate' sorted out by the British High Commission and won prizes in the competition. The University is glad for its students for their energy to exceed expectations in every single field. The students from BA JMC department of Galgotias University took part in All India Inter-university debating competition held at the Sri Venkateshwara College, Delhi University in New Delhi. Various topics ranging from global energy security to compulsory voting rights were taken up in the rounds of debates.

GREAT Debate has a unique approach that provides an informal but highly rigorous debate experience for all involved. It should be stressed that the British High Commission did not issue judges with narrow criteria for arriving at a decision, but instead asked them to simply decide which side of the debate, for or against, made the most convincing argument.

Students trying hard to make it to GEEE’15

Galgotias University stands amongst India’s top most ranking Universities as Galgotias has delivered marvelous results and placements. The session of 2015 is to begin and there has been an army of students who wish to make it to grab one of the limited seats available for its Engineering courses. Admission to the course happens through an Engineering Entrance Examination (GEEE) and students have been hopefully preparing to write the test as the date approaches near.

GEEE is scheduled for 14^th June, 2015 and GEEE Admit Cards are available at the official website of the university www.geee.in to be downloaded by the applicants. Admission tickets are usually uploaded a few days prior to the examination so that the applicants can have ample time to download the same. GEEE admit cards had been uploaded on their website on 9^th June, 2015 giving students a 5-day time to download their respective admit cards.

It is important to take note for all the applicants that entry in the examination hall is restricted to only those who have the admission ticket. The GEEE Admit Card is an essential document to be able to write the test as it contains all the information regarding the examination as well applicant containing his name, photograph and signature, exam date and time, examination centre, and other guidelines which need to be abided by. So the applicants should not forget to carry this entry pass or they cannot sit for the exam.

GEEE is held every year but the enthusiasm to take the test and grab a seat is on a rise as the competition is getting tougher with each year. We hope that this year’s results also mine some of the gems which will shine bright in the future.
