Mr. Suneel Galgotia had grabbed the nascent computer boom and used the then emerging technology to progressively leap forward the business first with Indian authors and later with foreign authors and publishers. In a short span, Galgotias had become a the leading publisher of computer and technology related books in India. In the 1990s, he set up a one-of-a-kind, stop-book shop for the finest technical and computer books, magazines and other related products in Noida. The venture went national very rapidly. From thereon , a venture into education was a natural progression and he began Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) in 2000 with just 40 students. Today GCET has over 4500 students. Galgotias Educational Institutions has moved on to include Galgotias Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT), Galgotias Business School (GBS) and The Galgotias University (GU).

Mr. Suneel Galgotia, Chancellor, Galgotias University, educationist and philanthropist, has been widely recognized for his sustained commitment, excellence and leadership in the field of education. Galgotias University has been founded with a vision to create and perpetuate a thinking ecosystem for the education of outstanding students so as to enlarge their thinking and imagination, such that they emerge as intellectually, socially and spiritually evolved global leaders. Guiding him forward is a strong belief that right actions which benefit the largest number will ultimately yield nothing but positivity for all – including the doer. His philosophy on education is that education should achieve a broad representation of experiences, perspectives and cultures to ensure that the best possible thinking  ideas, opportunities and solutions are considered.  The vision of the Galgotias group is to impart seamless education spanning across national boundaries.
